  • Obverse: Design in green. In the center, allegorical of a woman emptying a pot. Above, the issuer name "BANCO DE MARACAIBO" - "COMPAÑÍA ANÓNIMA". On each side, the denomination value "40" within a guilloche. On the bottom, the signatures zone. On the left,, allegorical of a standing man with the value in words "CUARENTA" (FORTY) below. On the right, Coat of Arms with the value in words "CUARENTA" (FORTY) below. On the top, the legend of the capitalization amount "CAPITAL B 1.250.000". In each corner the denomination value "40". Above, splitted in two parts, the denomination in words "CUARENTA BOLIVARES" and the payment clause "Que se pagaran al portador a su presentacion en las oficinas del banco" «Payable to bearer in the office of the bank». On the upper right, the date filling space "____ de _______ de 19__".
